EAA comdemns attack at practice exams in Kabul
Attacks on students, teachers and education facilities are unacceptable. Such attacks not only destroy lives, they also obstruct the development and prosperity of countries as a whole.
EAA is working to ensure that all Afghan students are able to access education, irrespective of their circumstances. Last week EAA and its partners welcomed the first cohort of the landmark Qatar Afghan Scholarship Project (QASP), which will see 250 Afghan students secure a path to study at higher education institutes in the United States.
EAA calls on all parties to fully implement United Nations Security Council Resolution 2601, which requires all parties to armed conflict to safeguard education for all and ensure that schools are protected spaces, and emphasises the special vulnerability of refugees who need access to quality education.
